A Hanging Thread

Marcello Vincenzo, prominent New Atlas restaurateur, landlord and property owner, was found dead late last night in the alley behind Vincenzo’s, the family establishment at the centre of his business interests. Police have confirmed an active homicide investigation but released few further details.

Vincenzo’s name carried considerable weight across the district, where his holdings extended well beyond the restaurant bearing it. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed unusual activity to come forward. So far, they say, reliable witnesses have proved difficult to find.

Somebody saw what happened. Probably should have looked the other way.
